Magic: the Gathering Female_Kaldra_is_Hot Edition - 0.3.8

Postby Pichoro on Thu Jul 05, 2007 5:32 pm

These templates were made following a request from a user; they were modeled after a template by Female_Kaldra_is_Hot, who can be found at mtgsalvation.com.

Some notes regarding usage: You may notice as you change card colors that the font color doesn't change. I decided to include a style tab choice to change between black and white font colors.

Some of the hybrids end up looking more like fruity candycanes then cards, so for the first time ever I've enabled changable p/t box (and casting cost box) colors. You don't like the color it changed to? Change it to one you do like.

This template now uses optional foil gradients. Check them out here.

I'm not sure the changeable p/t/cost dialog works: The only option I get is 'default', and it throws an error message when you try and select it:
"Variable not set: card"

I also get lots of errors of the type:
"Collection has no member: horizontal"
when playing around with horizontal/vertical/reversed 2-colour blends.

And how is one supposed to read the title on a black card?

I get the same messages for the same things. And I can't change the P/T and Casting Cost boxes either.

Lordpenguin: You can change the text color by clicking somewhere near the bottom left of the card, just under the paint brush, and select Black or White as font colors.

Okay. I've figured out why the pt and casting cost boxes won't change color; that'll be fixed in the next release of these.

Also in the next release; the font_color field will be done away with, and font color will be a style choice (because we have individual card styling now).

I'm still working on the horizontal error, but I do know now that its a larger error. It applies to the FPM tokens too.

That sounds a lot more intuitive!

It is. It'll cause some errors when initally starting your set though (and not just the set that uses the FKiH cards). So don't be surprised. They're the kind of errors where you save once and they're gone, no muss no fuss.

Xander mana...

Postby Spriters_End on Tue Jul 24, 2007 12:05 pm

Yes, I was in the woods for 5 weeks (and there's a lack of computers in the woods) so that's why I was gone so long.

I took a look at the Xander mana and they don't sink in the same, so I'm going to work on them some more, after I fix my computer. I got the Blue Screen of Death while I was away. NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'll send you the updated Xander mana and you can put them up whenever you like.

Error

Postby PHred on Fri Nov 09, 2007 12:54 pm

I downloaded this awesome template, but I get the following error message:
Package not found: 'C:documents and settings\all users\desktop\Magic Set Editor 2\data\magic-mana-fkih.mse-symbol-font'
Yes, mse 3.5 is saved under MSE 2... but seriously, how do i fix this? (I think this is a given, but it doesn't show mana)

It feels that you don't have the special mana font used in the casting cost. Inside the zip is both the style and the symbol-font; did you place both in your data folder?

Fixed but <strike>broken.</strike> Fixed!

Postby PHred on Fri Nov 09, 2007 2:44 pm

Well, the zip program I use doesn't automatically put it in the folder.
EDIT: Fixed, no I didn't. Stupid Picozip...

And... only black font. I looked in lower left, but...
Found.

please let HTML work here...

SweetRein's Edit:
Added Strike-through for yah.
