Do you have any plans to do the planeshifted form?

Edit: Nevermind. As I look now at the template's innards, I see that planeshifted would be quite easy...

Border

Postby Spriters_End on Mon Oct 29, 2007 11:11 pm

It's nice and all, but the thing that bothers me most about this template is the lack of a border. Would there be a way to make that a styling option?

OK, how many times do I have to say this, but IT DOES NOW have a styling option to add a border. Had you read the post merely two above yours, you would realise that. Seriously, yours is the third request I've had for this feature, and I had added it after the first request.

Re. Pichoro
Yeah, this template isn't really the most complex underneath. I don't think the pieces of the planeshifted frame that would show are interestingly different enough to warrant releasing another template, but as you have no doubt discovered, it is only a matter of copying the planeshifted frames into the style folder to use them instead (same goes for classicshifted).

EDIT: I might include a styling option to choose to use the planeshifted/classicshifted frames. I also think that considering the fact that the frame images used are identical, it is silly to have to download all the images again, and I think I will try and write a script that makes it use the frames from the magic-new-(whatever) style rather than the local folder.

I've downloaded this twice and every time I double click in the image area I only get the card color type box window?

Lordpenguin wrote:Because of the way the layers work out, to add the image to a new card in MSE, one must double-click the area to the left or underneath the rules text box. I suggest the little area just above the card number.

v1.2 has a default image demostrating the clickable art areas, and a mask so you can see which bits of the art will be hidden under the text boxes.

Is there a download link I'm missing or something?

Hmph. The attachment is gone. That's odd. I wonder if Lordpenguin took it down?

Until he does something about it, I think this is the most recent version he posted.

Thanks, it's reassuring to at least not have PROOF that I'm losing my mind.

I have no idea why the attachment disappeared... I'll re-attach it to the first post.

EDIT: Reattached with updated version, although it is a slightly unnecessary addition, don't necessarily bother if you have v1.20, the version Pichoro posted.

It adds two styling options - which mana symbol to use for the cc (large or bevelled) and for the rules (popup, normal, bevelled). I would add FemaleKaldraisHot's embossed one as well, but the sizing is odd.

Did you actually try adding the FKiH font, or just look at it and decide it wouldn't work?

A couple months ago, if this were happening, I would have said there was no way it would work. But then the FKiH templates got an update to make the choice between that font and magic-mana-small play nicely together in the textbox of that template. This same update might allow them to play nicely elsewhere as well. Or so I would think.

Basically, even though the images are sized so small, the symbol font is set to treat them like they're much larger; about the same as the images in other symbol fonts.

Yes, I did try them and had sizing problems - if you look at the code the fkih option is just commented out. I'll try again if there had been work done on it, as you say.

Well, keep in mind, the last time I altered the FKiH template was before the release of this template. So if you've tried since then, you likely will get no different results. Perhaps I'll add this to my list of things to look at once I'm able to template again.
