The Mana Font Thread (0.3.7)

This is a thread for posting mana-fonts in; these pieces of MSE have become more useful in 0.3.6, but each font probably doesn't need its own thread currently. So here's a thread just generally for posting mana-fonts in. If it gets out of hand, we'll do something to reorganize it.

I'm going to start out with the four standard MSE mana fonts, but in later posts, I'll add other options, including some that aren't utilized by specific templates. Anyone else is welcome to post here as well.

Here are some more mana-fonts.

First is the magic-mana-old mana font, created by Buttock1234, and modified slightly by myself. This is meant to emulate the mana symbols seen on 4th Edition Magic cards.

After that is the magic-mana-small-grey mana font, which was utilized on modern style Magic cards from 8th Edition until Fifth Dawn, when it was replaced with the colored mana symbols we're used to seeing today.

Finally, we have magic-mana-fkih, which is utilized on the FKiH Magic card templates. FKiH uses rather small symbols, and features no text rendering; even the numbers are images. This means it only supports 2/C symbols, and numbers from 0-9, as well as X.

The first mana font on this post is the beveled FPM mana font with the purple symbols utilized back in MSE 0.2.7.

The next two mana fonts are the regular and popup mana fonts used by Magic-new-extra; the template with extra colors. They feature purple, orange, yellow, brown, artifact, "any color", snow hybrid, and prismatic mana symbols. If you use this font with other templates in 0.3.8, you can access these colors in the textboxes.

Magic-mana-beveled-extra requires magic-mana-beveled to function. Magic-mana-large-extra requires magic-mana-large, and magic-mana-small-extra requires magic-mana-small.

The first two fonts are two new mana fonts constructed by me; they aren't utilized by any template yet. They'll be usable in 0.3.6. The first is magic-mana-circleless, the same as magic-mana-small without the mana circles. I've been told that its not completely circleless; but I see no circles when I look at it.

Magic-mana-bubble is a custom font constructed by me, mostly to look cool. The reflections obscure the view sometimes, though. It has the added benefit of featuring extra colors, just like magic-mana-small-extra and magic-mana-large-extra.

The last attached font is the magic-mana-cbg mana font by artfreakwiu (CBG). It is already included in downloads for this custom template, as well as Pendrell's Contraptions, but I decided to host it separately here as well, just cause I think its awesome.

This post also now hosts magic-mana-circleless-inverted, which is a color inverted version of magic-mana-circleless.

This is the updated version of the white mana font used in my Intense styles and with the magic of 0.3.6, usable in most magic templates. NOTE this updated magic-mana-white requires the Magic Symbols 2007 font, just like the old version, which is included in this download. If you have not done so previously, drag that font file into your system font directory to install. Just extract the rest into your MSE data folder as usual.

This is not a final version of this mana font - still to do:

So, another treat tonight. While I was out of town, I had an idea for my VS Style Magic template. What if you could use team affiliation symbols in the textbox? Well, I've just updated that template with a new mana font featuring VS team affiliation symbols; here's the mana font by itself for separate download. It requires the prior installation of magic-mana-small. All VS team symbols used are included in the download.

The other two attached mana fonts are darker versions of magic-mana-large and magic-mana-small. These mana fonts were created to be used with the Horror Magic template.

Well, I just got done with a round of updates. All of the mana fonts above, except for magic-mana-cbg and magic-mana-fkih now have text rendered XYZ symbols again. They also no longer support monohybrids with numbers above 9.

And, one more mana font has been released; Buttock1234's Embossed mana font for use with his Magic Music style. Here it is for separate download here as well, cause I like it.

Update: Another mana font; this time magic-mana-echo, which features different alternate symbols for WUBRG, but no tri-hybrids or guild symbols.

The two mana fonts attached to this post are the ones designed by Chrome Kaldra (formerly Female_Kaldra_is_Hot) for some custom templates he designed. The templates were meant to be Community frames for MTGSalvation, and those are their primary uses in MSE as well.

Its important to note that these fonts do not have tap symbols, and so, are not suitable for textboxes.

These three mana fonts are modeled after entries in a MTGSalvation photoshop contest by Planesjaywalker, Angloki, and Red Dwarfian. The Planesjaywalker font is missing tap symbols and the Red Dwarfian font is missing hybrids. The Angloki font only has the W/U hybrid. Only the Planesjaywalker template has snow symbols. Still, I decided to make these available here. Enjoy, and feel free to use them for something.

I've updated almost all of the symbol-fonts with "chaos" symbols. The only ones that didn't get updated by me were magic-mana-cbg, magic-mana-crystal, and magic-mana-white.

Also, thanks to Shiv, I've added #/C hybrids to magic-mana-future.

These are the normal and popup color reversed mana fonts by Rusty Keyes.

The includeded mana fonts have snowbrid and "M" symbols, but no tri-hybrid or old style tap symbols.

This is basically an extended version of the Magic Mana Small Extra mana font that includes all symbol fonts to date (with the exception of a few of the more obscure promo symbols.) I advise using the Insert Symbol menu option, lol.

[Outrage]

Whenever I try to install these fonts (or ANYTHING, really), they fail to install. I'm going to assume that it's somehow linked to another issue of mine: Whenever I click on the "style" tab, I get a popup titled "Warning" that states the following:
"The package 'magic-mana-large.mse-symbol-font' (version 2008-08-13) is out of date, version 2009-08-10 is required."

I just installed a clean version of MSE, but that hasn't seemed to change anything.
